Coal India Limited (CIL) has been contributing to the National Water Mission by facilitating reuse of mine water and minimizing the water footprint of mining on fresh water regime. The Mobile App on mine water utilization has been developed with the objective to showcase:

1. The efforts of CIL in meeting the water requirement of nearby communities through its
mine water.
2. The transformation of CIL from water intensive organization to water positive one
3. The mine water utilization for various purposes like industrial, domestic,
agriculture/irrigation and water recharge.

Mine Water Data:

1. Mine water utilization data on daily average basis has been utilized
2. The per day figure has been converted into annual one by simple multiplication
3. The monsoon water has been kept out of purview of this App
4. The data on mine water utilization encompasses industrial use, domestic use,
agriculture/irrigation and recharge of water regime.
